Permalayer™ is a superior alternative to cork underlayments because it is mould and mildew resistant, and will not rot, shrink, absorb water and is anti microbial. Available in a variety of thickness, Permalayer™ can be employed in different environments.
Permalayer™ has been designed so that the mortar locks in, creating a bonded crack prevention system for subfloor movement. The versatile mat can be used to set stone or tile over any acceptable subfloor. Permalayer™ is fast and efficient to install as it is up to 10 times lighter than 6mm backerboard, cuts easily with an utility knife, and requires no nails or screws. |
